YouTube now allows users to showcase their creative flair in a novel manner.
The image-sharing and social media company introduces a cutting-edge AI tool named Dream Track, empowering individuals to effortlessly generate 30-second music tracks resembling those of renowned artists.
When a user hums a tune on the platform and selects an artist from the tool, a unique short music piece featuring the AI-generated essence of the chosen artist is crafted within a YouTube Short blog.
Collaborating with YouTube on this innovative project are nine musicians, including Alec Benjamin, Charlie Puth, Charli XCX, Demi Lovato, John Legend, Papoose, Sia, T-Pain, and Troye Sivan.
In a blog post, YouTube asserts that this tool allows the company to explore ways to enhance connections among creators, musicians, and their fans.

To provide creators with a glimpse of Dream Track’s functionality, sample songs from Charlie Puth and T-Pain are now accessible on YouTube.
The launch of Dream Track coincides with YouTube’s ongoing rollout of updated guidelines for AI-generated content. As per the new regulations, video creators must disclose the use of artificial intelligence to produce lifelike content.
Furthermore, authors who fail to disclose their use of AI tools to create “altered or synthetic” videos, as reported by the Associated Press, face potential removal or suspension from YouTube’s revenue-sharing program.
