To procure the business generative AI software it has developed, Intel has launched a new venture known as Articul8 AI. Arun Subramaniyan, previously a vice president and public director at Intel’s Data Center and AI Group, will lead the operations at Articul8AI. Global funding powerhouse DigitalBridge Ventures has also invested in this new enterprise.
According to Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger’s press statement, Articul8 is poised to deliver tangible business outcomes for Intel, as well as its extensive network of customers and partners. This is attributed to its robust expertise in AI and High Performance Computing (HPC), along with its enterprise-level GenAI operations.
The new entity will leverage an Intel relational AI system, which integrates both open-source and proprietary systems, to analyze text and images. Among the current users of this program are Invest India, Scripps, and Uptycs.
Boston Consulting Group (BCG) was among the pioneering firms to adopt Articul8, utilizing it in their data facilities to enhance surveillance for corporate clients. Rich Lesser, BCG’s global leader, mentioned, “Our collaboration began nearly two years ago during Intel’s developmental phase.” He further expressed, “We have implemented Articul8 solutions for numerous clients seeking efficient platforms with accelerated time-to-market.”
Articul8AI is targeting organizations in various sectors including telecommunications, semiconductor, government, aerospace, life sciences, and cybersecurity. The Articul8 software offers flexibility, being deployable on-site, in the cloud, or through a hybrid deployment model.
