Kochi: Nikhil Dharman is part of a courageous cohort of young entrepreneurs from Kerala who took the bold step of establishing their own ventures at a time when entrepreneurship was not yet in vogue. Nikhil, alongside Anoop Balakrishnan and Arun Ravi, founded Agrima Infotech, an AI enterprise that was acquired by BigBasket in 2022. Following this acquisition, the entrepreneurial ecosystem closely monitors Nikhil as he embarks on his next startup journey.

In his latest endeavor, Algorithma Digitech Private Limited, a fintech firm headquartered at the Kerala Startup Mission (KSU) campus in Kalamassery, Kochi, Nikhil has partnered with first-generation entrepreneur T R Shamsudheen.

The company recently introduced its latest innovation, FIN-GPT, a financial intelligence platform that garnered attention at the World Startup Huddle 2023 in Thiruvananthapuram. Similar to the renowned Bloomberg Terminal, FIN-GPT serves as an artificial co-pilot for traders, offering a comprehensive solution for enterprises and financial investors by consolidating disparate financial data to expedite decision-making processes through financial intelligence.

Powered by Gen AI, the state-of-the-art system aids financial analysts, expense firms, and investors in making swift financial decisions, promising to revolutionize the industry with its efficiency and affordability. Nikhil, Algorithma’s co-founder and CTO, reports positive feedback from both institutional and retail investors regarding the platform’s capabilities.

Through GPT-Tail, users can access real-time intelligent financial data by searching across millions of premium external documents and internal content on various businesses, trends, or topics. Additionally, Algorithma offers Smartbasket, a solution providing guidance from SEBI-registered advisors to novice stock market participants.

Furthermore, Agrima, the company acquired by BigBasket, secured Rs. 1.5 crore from angel investors for its pre-seed account. The company aims to generate revenue through pay-per-use models and sub-broking services, emphasizing that it serves as a research facilitator rather than offering stock recommendations.

Shamsudheen, Nikhil’s co-founder, leverages his decade-long expertise in the real estate sector to bolster the financial company, complementing Nikhil’s AI engineering proficiency. With a workforce exceeding 15 employees, Algorithma, established in September 2022, continues to make strides in the fintech landscape.
