A founding engineer from Amazon Robotics, Andrew Hoffman, has taken on the role of chief technology officer (CTO) at Gather AI, a robotics company specializing in utilizing flying warehouse drones for inventory counts within distribution centers.
With a background as a founding engineer at Kiva Systems (now Amazon Robotics) and CANVAS Technology, Hoffman brings a wealth of experience, holding more than 20 patents in robot technology, coordination, and collision avoidance. Prior to joining Gather AI, Hoffman served as an investor in residence at Xplorer Capital, an investor in Gather AI.
According to Jonathan McQueen, Managing Partner at Xplorer Capital and a member of the Gather AI Board, Andrew Hoffman’s appointment as CTO aligns with the company’s goal of advancing their innovative solutions in the industry. The existing management team at Gather AI includes Sankalp Arora, Daniel Maturana, Geetesh Dubey, and recently onboarded president and COO Charlie Reverte.
