Logitech is set to dispatch a minimum of one mouse paired with a specialized AI device, and it has already introduced its distinct AI Prompt Builder.

The Copilot software integrated into future AI-enabled PCs may extend beyond keyboard functionalities; Logitech is venturing into enabling interactions with ChatGPT through its innovative approach known as the Logi AI Prompt Builder. This tool will be integrated into a designated box on your keyboard.
The Logi AI Prompt Builder not only facilitates chatbot interactions but also provides predefined “recipes” to guide users in prompting the AI. Upon assigning an AI command to a Swiss mouse, users can request tasks such as “Rephrasing” text passages, condensing them into bullet points, simplifying or shortening them, or meeting specific word limits. Another feature assists in summarizing press releases. Furthermore, I customized another function to generate an image by subscribing to ChatGPT Plus.
Snapshot of Logi AI Prompt Builder
While the Prompt Builder proves to be beneficial, I encountered a limitation when attempting to use it with my older Swiss M557 mouse purchased in 2022, prompting me to acquire a new Swiss keyboard compatible with the program. Interestingly, it activated unexpectedly when I wasn’t actively browsing on either of my two open web pages. Consequently, I found myself utilizing a ChatGPT button within my web browser to avoid navigating away from my current webpage.
Utilizing Logi AI Prompt Builder for Prompts
An exclusive AI feature embedded in the M750 keyboard, equipped with an AI-specific switch, will soon be obtainable for purchase in Switzerland. Priced at \(39, it will initially be accessible in the US and the UK for \)54.99 or £54.99, respectively. While the special AI mouse is not mandatory, a Logitech device is required as the prompt builder is integrated into the company’s bundled Logi Options+ software.
At its inception, the Logi AI Prompt Builder solely supports English and operates exclusively with ChatGPT. Swiss has indicated plans to introduce additional bots to the system in the future.
Ultimately, this initiative appears to be a strategic move by Swiss to boost sales of its products, and it is likely that other companies are exploring similar concepts. As AI-powered keyboards become commonplace, users may face the dilemma of choosing between competing AI functionalities to engage with their chatbots.
