It’s difficult to avoid pitting the Humane Ai Pin and the Rabbit R1 against one another. After all, Rabbit just celebrated its bright magenta device’s debut with a delivery gathering in New York City, just days after the Ai Pin began to be sold to its first clients.
We’re still in the first time of both AI devices, but the R1 now seems much more worthy. There’s more connectivity with popular applications like Spotify and DoorDash, and the R1’s AI is quicker to respond, perhaps to difficult questions. We first saw the two fight head-to-head when Rabbit’s CEO Jesse Lyu posted an unofficial video, but at the launch event we had a better idea of what the differences were. Here are the ten things the R1 can do that Humane Ai Pin can’t quite manage right now.
9. Transcribe Spreadsheets
Squirrel can copy a spreadsheet created on paper into a digital form that can be sent to your email for all you Excel nears out there. Although this may be a market use case, the R1 prevents you from having to manually transfer all those rows and columns. The Ai Pin might one day be able to do work, but for the time being, the ultra-wide camera can’t do what the R1 can’t.
8. Form on a Keypad
When you don’t think like using speech or need to insert something like a Wi-Fi login, the R1 has an on-display keyboard. dictating usernames on that system is no pleasure or simple, as Opposite Deputy Editor Raymond Wong said in his Ai Pin assessment. Lyu also claims that the R1’s keyboard is roughly the size of the most recent phone 15 Pro Max console.
7. Become a Cyberdeck With Its Event
The plastic case that the R1 comes on isn’t only package, Rabbit designed it to function as a tripod for the system. You can still use the keypad or have it work as an AI cyberdeck for your pc setup because the situation aligns exactly with the display’s edge. The Ai Pin’s ovum-shaped charging scenario is pretty and tosses a Battery Booster, but it doesn’t have more power other than for charging.
6. Connect to USB- C products
The R1’s USB-C port can connect to wired keyboards if you don’t want to use the tiny on-screen keyboard (you can still use a wireless option through Bluetooth). Lyu claims Rabbit is working on making the R1’s whole USB-C features available in the future. There’s no USB-C slot on the Ai Pin.
5. Summarize Voice Notes
The R1 not just automatically records tone notes when you instruct it to, but it also has the ability to automatically summarize the recording for you. The key points brought up during your longer meetings or telephone calls can be viewed when you review your message memo on R1’s “Rabbit Hole” web interface. The Ai Pin can save “notes” to its.Center portal, but it can’t record audio.
4. function as a speech rural power for Spotify
It’s as simple as telling the R1 what music you want to learn when it comes to playing song. On top of that, Lyu says the system syncs with Spotify’s program, meaning the R1 can work as a distant voice command for the application, no matter if it’s playing through your laptop, Bluetooth speakers, or headphones. That definitely beats using Tidal on the Ai Pin alone.
3. Order Food on DoorDash
You don’t have to comb through DoorDash’s app anymore, you can simply tell the R1 what you want to eat instead. During the demo, Lyu acknowledges that ordering food isn’t as simple as playing music, but it can still process simple orders like a 10-piece McNugget meal from McDonald’s. Unlike this, Humane has shown off demos of shopping with the AI of the Ai Pin.
2. Hail an Uber
The R1 can call an Uber for you, another example of smooth integration with apps. Tell the device where you’re going and from where, and it’ll start to search for an Uber driver. If you press and hold the button, you can even modify the address. There hasn’t been any such feature for the Ai Pin from Humane yet.
1. Create AI- generated images with Midjourney
Midjourney already works with R1 like DoorDash and Uber. Whatever bizarre or specific prompt you have, the device can be programmed to create an image through Midjourney. It may take a while to load, but once it’s complete, you can even thumb through the AI-generated options on the R1. Even if the Ai Pin had this feature, its 720p mono- color Laser Ink Display wouldn’t be able to show you any details.
