Recent research by Lightcast, a leading research firm, delved into job postings on platforms like Indeed and corporate websites, uncovering a total of 10,113 job listings related to conceptual AI this year.
Senior analyst Layla O’Kane from Lightcast noted feedback from various sectors, including tech companies developing AI solutions and educational institutions looking to integrate this technology.
The primary job titles associated with conceptual AI included data scientists, machine learning engineers, and education writers.
O’Kane expressed surprise at the increasing demand for relational AI skills across industries not typically linked with tech advancements, signaling a shift in employee skill requirements and employer expectations to embrace these innovative AI tools.
According to Lightcast’s research, the following nine companies stood out for their job postings related to conceptual AI from September 2022 to September 2023:
- Chegg: 377 job listings
Chegg, an educational platform, is actively recruiting for various AI roles, such as curriculum writers specializing in fields like financial analysis, cybersecurity, and online marketing. Proficiency in AI platforms like ChatGPT is highly sought after, with hourly rates ranging from \(40 to \)120.
- Meta: 330 job listings
Meta, renowned for its Meta Smart Glasses, is involved in AI projects like Ray-Ban Smart Glasses and AI ai. The company is hiring professionals for roles like AI-related research architect, applied research scientist, and item complex program manager, offering competitive salaries.
- Capital One: 305 job listings
Capital One has appointed a head of business AI to improve customer experiences through AI solutions. Job openings include positions for data scientists, conceptual AI engineers, and complex program managers, with salaries exceeding $200,000.
- Pacific Northwest National Laboratory: 273 job listings
