On December 6, Tod Machover, a multifaceted creative artist, inventor, and professor, will be featured at the UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music. Having studied under renowned figures like Elliott Carter and Roger Sessions at The Juilliard School, Machover’s trajectory led him to become the inaugural Director of Musical Research at Pierre Boulez’s IRCAM in Paris. Currently holding the prestigious position of Muriel R. Cooper Professor of Music and Media, Machover spearheads the Opera of the Future Group at MIT Media Lab, while also imparting his knowledge as a visiting professor at the Royal Academy of Music in London.
