### Maximize the Potential of Samsung Galaxy S24 with Google’s Circle Search Integration

This feature is also coming Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro.

Google has unveiled a new functionality named Circle to Search, designed to enhance search capabilities on premium Android devices. This feature allows users to access Google within any application, enabling them to highlight or circle text or objects. By harnessing artificial intelligence (AI), users can promptly retrieve relevant search results. The upgraded visual search feature is set to debut on the Pixel 8, Pixel 8 Pro, and the Samsung Galaxy S24 series on January 31.

With Circle to Search, users can effortlessly initiate a search by circling an object. For example, if you encounter a TikTok video featuring unique corn dogs, you can swipe up to launch the Google app, circle the food item, and obtain information about Korean corn dogs through AI technology. Furthermore, Google can offer insights into the cultural importance of Korean cuisine in today’s gastronomic landscape.

The primary benefit of this feature is the smooth search experience it provides, eliminating the necessity to switch between multiple applications.

This innovation aligns with Samsung’s revelation of incorporating a similar feature into the forthcoming Galaxy S24 series. Presently, there is no information available regarding other devices that will receive this advanced in-app Google Search feature.

Google’s emphasis on AI persists following the disruption caused by ChatGPT to its search functionality in late 2022. ChatGPT introduced a chatbot capable of delivering unique responses to inquiries, streamlining the search process compared to conventional Google searches that display lists of websites necessitating manual filtering. In response, Google and Microsoft promptly introduced their AI chatbots to stay competitive.

Microsoft’s significant investments in AI have propelled the company to surpass Apple as the world’s most valuable earlier this month. Google is also integrating AI throughout its product range, including the Search Generative Experience and the camera app on Pixel devices. The adoption of generative AI, projected to yield up to $4.4 trillion annually by McKinsey, highlights the competition among companies to leverage state-of-the-art technology for market dominance.

In conjunction with Circle to Search, Google has introduced an AI-driven enhancement to multisearch in Lens. Previously, Google Lens could recognize objects like dresses, enabling users to search for similar items. Now, with AI improvements, visual matches will yield more informative responses, empowering users to pose detailed queries. For instance, if you come across a board game at a yard sale without its packaging, Google Lens can identify the game and furnish details about its title and gameplay.
