In the spring, Roku may introduce a new line of Monitors in the United States.
According to a press release from Roku on Wednesday (Jan. 3), the company intends to continue selling its current range of TVs, which encompasses the recently released Roku Pro Series. In the announcement, Chris Larson, Roku’s vice president of financial strategy, emphasized that the “Roku Pro Series” delivers exceptional picture and sound quality, a stylish design, unique features, and a user-friendly interface. This product line reflects Roku’s signature blend of business acumen and technological prowess, tailored for a streaming-focused TV experience. Larson expressed optimism that this upcoming TV series could set a new standard for streaming quality as the Roku TV system nears its 10th anniversary. The forthcoming Roku Pro Series Monitors are anticipated to showcase a 4K QLED display, Mini-LED technology, native dimming, upgraded audio systems, and slim, mountable designs. These new television sets will be offered in three sizes: 55, 65, and 75 inches, accompanied by an advanced Roku remote and powered by the company’s operating system. As per a recent report from Bloomberg, the new Pro Series TVs might be priced up to \(1,500, marking Roku’s foray into the high-end television market and positioning the company to compete with premium models from LG and Samsung Electronics in that price range. Currently, Roku’s priciest models from the Select and Plus Series are priced at \)999. Furthermore, Roku is contemplating the integration of a new set of AI-driven features into all its Monitors later this spring. One of these features, dubbed Roku Smart Picture, is set to leverage AI, machine learning, and data from content partners to analyze on-screen content and automatically enhance the image for an improved viewing experience. This feature will be standard across all Roku Screen models, including the new Pro Series. After integrating streaming TV and e-commerce capabilities with Shopify six months ago, Roku is rolling out these latest enhancements to its product lineup. Through this partnership, Roku users can access the Action Ad services to shop directly from Shopify merchants on their televisions.
