As part of Microsoft’s Light 2023 announcements, a dedicated Copilot webpage has been revealed. This online application is designed to work with Microsoft Edge and Chromium-powered browsers on both Windows and Mac operating systems.
Users can access the new Navigator website at Microsoft.com, which requires a Microsoft account password for login. Upon logging in, users will encounter a chat interface similar to other Microsoft apps, providing access to Copilot features.
The landing website states:
“Choose to log in with your Entra ID or Microsoft account.” Copilot currently supports only Windows and Mac OS on Microsoft Edge or Chrome browsers.
The Copilot blog suggests various applications of the AI, including generating jokes, comparing items, writing articles, summarizing web pages, planning tables, and creating travel itineraries.
With the launch of the Copilot website, Microsoft can now deploy its AI assistant to any system without the need for users to download a separate app. While the site is currently compatible with Windows and Mac desktops, support for mobile browsers is expected soon.
