Microsoft Edge is a dependable computer system with some slight feature inflation. However, in its latest endeavor to integrate AI across all platforms, Microsoft has now labeled Edge as an “AI Browser.”
Recently, it came to light that Microsoft is now branding Microsoft Edge on Android and iOS as an “AI Browser.” This new designation can be observed on both the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store, although it does not seem to apply to the Windows version of the browser.
This fresh tagline comes after the introduction of several notable AI features to Edge, including the incorporation of Copilot and, more recently, GPT-4.
On the Microsoft Edge listing in the Play Store, Microsoft itself elaborates:
Your Microsoft Edge browser, powered by AI, includes Copilot for an enhanced browsing experience. With DALL-E 3, you can generate images, pose inquiries, conduct searches, and obtain comprehensive summaries leveraging GPT-4. Microsoft Edge offers a smarter approach to browsing, searching, creating, and shopping on the go.
While this adjustment is not entirely novel, the new slogan gained prominence recently through a partially virtual announcement on Twitter/X.
According to a search conducted by 9to5Google on the Internet Archive, the new slogan was initially introduced on November 18. Microsoft had previously experimented with a variation of this concept as early as September, incorporating the tagline “Browse with AI.”
