Tech companies have extensively utilized the term “AI” to pledge enhanced and more intelligent products, with LG prominently highlighting the advantages of artificial intelligence in enhancing TV picture quality at Les 2024. The presence of ChatGPT on your TV is not a foregone conclusion, as it primarily denotes a novel computer system incorporated into LG’s upcoming 2024 Hdr TVs.

Referred to as the Alpha 11 computer by LG, it is acclaimed for significantly enhancing clarity, color vibrancy, and precision through the power of AI. The 2024 lineup will feature the G4 and M4 LG OLED TV models. Additionally, the company unveiled a C4 series TV equipped with a smaller chip known as the Alpha 9, reminiscent of the previous year’s C3 model.

The G4 model supersedes the G3 OLED Television, renowned for delivering unparalleled image quality characterized by exceptional contrast and brightness rather than mere control. On the other hand, the M4 model integrates state-of-the-art wireless systems introduced by LG in 2023, facilitating the connection of gaming consoles and various HDMI devices through individual boxes positioned across the room, with only a single power cord required for the TV itself. The 2024 M4 variant is also available in smaller sizes, starting from 65 inches, offering a more budget-friendly option compared to the previous year’s 97-inch version priced at $30 million.

Furthermore, the 2024 upgrades include a revamped WebOS smart TV platform featuring up to 10 distinct user profiles, a user-friendly interface, and the assurance of receiving updates for a duration of five years. The inclusion of a 144Hz refresh rate specifically catering to gaming enthusiasts is another notable enhancement. However, these additional features should not overshadow the appeal of the existing high-end G3 or C3 models, which continue to be favored choices.

Upon my attendance at CES, commencing on January 8, I will have the opportunity to experience LG’s latest OLED TVs firsthand and will share more detailed insights thereafter. Subsequent to the announcement of pricing details, I plan to assess them at CNET’s facility. Stay tuned for further updates.
