In the event of a broader search query like “places with a retro feel,” the results will be categorized into specific groups like clothing stores and flea markets, aiding you in refining your choice of destination. Additionally, each suggested location will come with a summary of reviews explaining why Maps recommends that particular spot for your visit.
Following your initial search, you can pose further questions to Maps to fine-tune your options or continue your exploration. For example, you can inquire about ideal lunch spots or the next shopping destination. Furthermore, you have the option to seek recommendations for activities suitable for a rainy day or options geared towards children.
The introduction of generative AI in Maps is currently being rolled out to a select group of Local Guides in the US. Google intends to conduct initial testing with these guides before extending the feature to a broader audience.
