BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — The former athletic director at Pikesville High School is facing charges after prosecutors said he used artificial intelligence to impersonate the school’s principal making antisemitic and racist comments, according to multiple reports.
Dazhon Darien, 31, is charged with disrupting school activities after authorities say he created a fake recording in January using Eric Eiswert’s voice, according to a Baltimore Sun report citing the Baltimore County state’s attorney.
The recording, which was shared widely on social media, included offensive statements made about Black students and the Jewish community, reports said.
Following the release of the video, Eiswert was removed from the school and required a security detail at his home, the Sun reported.
In charging documents obtained by the Baltimore Banner, police said Darien used the school’s network on multiple occasions to search for OpenAI tools. They also connected Darien to the email account used to distribute the fake recording, the Banner reported.
The recording, posted to the Instagram account murder_ink_bmore, prompted Baltimore County police and school officials to open an investigation.
