### The Dor Siblings’ Impact on Revolutionizing Cinematic AI

The Dor Brothers are among the most prolific producers of AI in the world.

I recently came across a fan trailer for Grand Theft Auto VII, Egypt on YouTube, created by Yonatan Dor, a German music video director. Yonatan is the founder of Dor Brothers, a company known for its expertise in generative AI, having produced over 200 music videos. As an individual closely following the advancements in cinematic AI for Forbes, I was already familiar with The Dor Brothers’ impressive AI-enhanced music video for the supergroup SiM titled Hide and Seek. Intrigued by their latest GTA trailer, I reached out to Yonatan Dor on Instagram to learn more about his creative process and the utilization of AI, similar to my interactions with other AI filmmakers such as Caleb and Shelby Ward, Dave Clark, Nicholas Neubert, and Nice Aunties.

Yonatan Dor is actively involved in sharing insights at AI events and collaborating with teams at Microsoft and Pika Labs. The Hide and Seek project for SiM came to life when the UNFD record label engaged their services to produce a music video that captured SiM’s unique style. Despite a tight five-day deadline, they managed to blend traditional Japanese art with a modern twist to reflect SiM’s artistic vision. The video featured guitar-playing demons, massive speakers dominating a cityscape, and pre-apocalyptic scenes, echoing the energy of SiM’s live performances.

In quieter moments of the video, they incorporated traditional Japanese aesthetics, reimagining famous artworks like “The Great Wave off Kanagawa” to complement the contemporary theme. The video concluded with a powerful image of a man in a devastated city touching an eye that opens, symbolizing a return to pure artistic expression. The production involved creating around 2230 images, excluding additional clips generated using Pika Labs.

For the GTA VII – Egypt project, Yonatan Dor utilized Midjourney’s “Style Reference” feature to offer a fresh perspective on iconic video games. Reflecting on this project, Dor discussed infusing Rockstar’s humor into an Egyptian setting for the GTA game. He employed a range of tools including Midjourney for image creation, Pika Labs for animation, Photoshop for refining images, ElevenLabs for AI-driven narration, Adobe Premiere for video editing, and Magnific AI for image enhancement.

Yonatan Dor, the CEO and Director of The Dor Brothers, shared insights into his journey in the AI domain. He recalled discovering Generative AI in 2022, before the emergence of tools like Midjourney or Stable Diffusion, and dedicated significant time to mastering this technology. Dor emphasized the transformative potential of Generative AI tools, envisioning a future where AI-generated content plays a prominent role. The introduction of OpenAI’s latest generative AI tool, Sora, represents a significant advancement in AI video generation capabilities, hinting at a future where various tools converge to create compelling content. As AI continues to revolutionize various aspects of media and interactions, the boundaries between reality and AI-generated content are becoming increasingly blurred, paving the way for new explorations and possibilities.
