### Revolutionizing Work: Billionaire Investor Envisions AI Revolution Leading to Four-Day Work Week

Steve Cohen said ‘My belief is that a four-day work week is coming’

Discussion on the Evolution of Golf and the Future Work Week

GoDaddy founder Bob Parsons recently shared insights on the current state of golf during an interview on The Claman Countdown. On a separate note, billionaire investor and New York Mets owner, Steve Cohen, discussed the potential impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on the work week structure.

During an appearance on CNBC’s “Squawk Box,” Cohen expressed his belief that AI advancements could lead to a four-day work week becoming the norm for many workers. He anticipates a scenario where most individuals enjoy a three-day weekend, fostering increased opportunities for recreational activities. Cohen’s investment in the Tomorrow Golf League (TGL) was influenced by his vision of a shorter work week.

Cohen highlighted that the rise of AI technology, coupled with observations of decreased productivity on Fridays, supports the inevitability of a condensed work schedule. While acknowledging uncertainties about the exact timeline for this transition, he emphasized the positive implications for leisure activities like golf. Cohen foresees a surge in golf participation and overall interest, potentially leading to higher demand for golf facilities.

Moreover, he outlined potential investment prospects aligned with a shorter work week, such as the leisure and travel sectors. Despite these projections, Cohen clarified that professionals managing portfolios and trading in his firm would still be required to work on Fridays during market hours to ensure operational efficiency.

The TGL, conceptualized by sports executive Mike McCarley in collaboration with golf icons Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy, will introduce an innovative format featuring six teams, including Cohen’s New York Golf Club. The league’s matches will consist of 15 holes, deviating from the traditional 18-hole setup. Teams will engage in both group and individual play, enhancing the competitive dynamics of the matches.

Scheduled to commence its inaugural season in January 2025, the TGL will be hosted at the SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. The league’s strategic scheduling on weeknights aims to avoid conflicts with existing PGA Tour events, ensuring a seamless integration into the golfing calendar.

In addition to Cohen’s team, the TGL will showcase other prominent clubs like the Atlanta Drive Golf Club, Boston Common Golf, Jupiter Links Golf Club, Los Angeles Golf Club, and TGL San Francisco, offering a diverse and engaging platform for golf enthusiasts and players alike.
