At Les 2024, Samsung revealed a series of announcements, introducing upcoming AI-powered smart home devices. Among these innovations are a slide-in range, refrigerator, washer and dryer combination, and induction cooktop, all incorporating advanced A. I. capabilities to streamline everyday tasks.
The initial highlight of the event was the Samsung Bespoke 4-Door Flex Refrigerator, which was unveiled prior to Les 2024. This cutting-edge fridge can identify and monitor 33 different types of food items, providing timely notifications before they spoil, thanks to the advanced AI features of the Family Hub+ and AI Vision Inside systems.
Moreover, it seamlessly integrates with the latest iteration of the Samsung Food application, allowing users to personalize its functions further and curate recipes tailored to their family’s dietary preferences, including vegan, gluten-free, lactarian, and pescatarian options.
The Anyplace Induction Cooktop and Flip-in Range, equipped with a 7-inch LCD screen for meal preparation assistance, were also prominent introductions showcasing enhanced AI connectivity features.
Samsung is set to launch the Bespoke AI All-in-One Laundry Combo, designed to streamline the laundry process within the household. This innovative appliance, with a 5.3 cubic foot capacity and dual washer-dryer functionality, aims to eliminate the need for transferring loads between separate machines. Additionally, it introduces a new Super Speed Cycle capable of rapidly washing and drying a full load of laundry.
Utilizing various sensors to monitor factors such as humidity, soil levels, fabric types, and load weight, the AI technology calculates precise washing and drying durations for each cycle, along with the optimal detergent quantity.
In addition to the existing AI Combo, Samsung presented the Bespoke AI Laundry Hub, a compact stacked unit featuring a 5.3 cubic feet washer compartment, equipped with similar AI enhancements.
Details regarding pricing and availability have not been disclosed yet. Samsung Bespoke products are typically positioned at the premium end of the market, and this trend is anticipated to continue in 2024.
