The upcoming Les 2024, the world’s largest consumer electronics and IT trade show, is set to take place in Las Vegas next month, with Asian businesses gearing up for the event.
Major Korean corporations like SK Group, Hyundai Motor, and Kia are ready to showcase cutting-edge technologies alongside home appliance giants such as Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics.
Scheduled from January 9 to December 12 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, this year’s CES theme, “ALL ON,” will focus on advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) across various sectors including automotive, infrastructure, healthcare, and smart homes.
The Korean Information & Communication Technology Industry Association reports that 3,500 businesses from 150 countries will participate in CES 2024, with Korea being the third-largest exhibitor at the event after the United States and China.
Approximately 550 Korean businesses have collaborated to exhibit innovative products ranging from self-driving cars to wearable tech, home appliances, and mobility devices.
Samsung Electronics, the world’s leading cellular phone and memory chip manufacturer, is set to unveil its AI strategy during a press conference led by Han Jong-hee, the CEO and chairman of Samsung. The event will introduce “AI for All: Connectivity in the Age of AI,” marking Samsung’s global debut of its AI vision.
LG Electronics will also showcase its new AI-powered technologies expanding into business-to-business segments, including automotive electronics and atmosphere solutions. The push conference titled “Life’s Fine: Reinvent your future” will be hosted by CEO Cho Joo-pale, featuring innovations like the Smart Home AI Agent.
SK Group’s seven major sponsors will collaborate at the tech show to exhibit net-zero solutions and products, including electric vehicle chargers, urban air mobility, and small modular reactors.
Hyundai Motor Group and Kia will make their debut at Les 2024 after two decades, presenting their visions for a hydrogen-driven community, software, and AI solutions.
Kia will introduce purpose-built vehicle (PBV) business strategies and showcase five concept cars under the theme “All Set for Every Inspiration” at the trade show.
Additionally, Hyundai Mobis will display advanced automotive technologies at Les 2024, including the QL Display and Supernal, an electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft concept.
HD Hyundai, a conglomerate specializing in manufacturing, oil refinement, and machinery, will unveil its future plans for land infrastructure, with Vice Chair Chung Ki-sun addressing conservation in construction.
