In September, the implementation of cameras equipped with artificial intelligence commenced, enabling the identification of specific features like a child’s mouth or clothing. Stitt acknowledged that although the system is operational, there are compatibility issues with their reporting system. He mentioned ongoing collaboration with two distinct IT firms to gather the required data, expressing confidence in resolving the matter within a week.

Despite encountering some obstacles, Stitt wholeheartedly recommends the utilization of these tools by different departments.

He emphasized the positive impact on public safety, highlighting the awareness raised by the presence of monitoring devices. Stitt noted the continuous data flow, underscoring the utility of these resources for investigative purposes, available round-the-clock, seven days a week.
