o9 Solutions, a provider of Artificial Intelligence (AI) software platforms, and AWS have announced an expansion of their partnership. The recent collaboration, revealed on Tuesday (Feb. 6), will involve o9 becoming a part of AWS’s ISV Workload Migration program. Through this initiative, o9 will have access to funding, technical support, and go-to-market assistance from AWS to expedite the digital transformation process for mutual customers. This will involve migrating their existing on-premise legacy planning software to o9’s Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) offering on AWS.
The partnership between o9 and AWS was initially established in January 2022. Since then, o9 has been a key partner for AWS’s Supply Chain competency, with the o9 Digital Brain platform being successfully implemented on AWS for various clients across industries such as retail, consumer-packaged goods, manufacturing, and telecom. This integration enables clients to enhance their capabilities in integrated business planning, supply chain planning, and demand forecasting/planning.
Tanguy Caillet, o9’s Executive Vice President of Growth Markets and Global Collaborations, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating, “This milestone in our collaboration with AWS provides our customers the benefits from o9’s leading capabilities with the AWS infrastructure, ensuring seamless technical integration and performance.” He highlighted that o9’s AI-powered platform is designed for flexible deployment and integration on a cloud-based system like AWS.
In a significant move last year, o9 partnered with jewelry brand Pandora to elevate the company’s integrated planning capabilities. Pandora opted for o9’s AI-powered Digital Brain platform to enhance its planning and merchandising processes. Kristofer Löhmos, Senior Vice President of Global Merchandising at Pandora, emphasized the importance of meeting consumer demands by ensuring product availability. He mentioned, “O9’s Digital Brain platform will enable us to transform our planning processes and maximize product availability as we continue our efforts to delight our global customers.”
Subsequently, PYMNTS highlighted that the collaboration exemplifies the pivotal role of AI in optimizing inventory management. According to the PYMNTS Intelligence study “What Generative AI Has in Store for the Retail Industry,” retailers can leverage predictive analytics to forecast demand accurately, enhance stock optimization, and streamline supply chains. This strategic approach ensures that retailers maintain the right products in stock at the right time, thereby reducing inventory costs and mitigating the risk of stockouts or overstocking.
