Amazon is introducing a new AI-driven shopping assistant named Rufus.
The online retail giant announced on Thursday the beta launch of this conversational assistant within a limited customer group on Amazon’s mobile app.
Over the next few weeks, the AI feature will become available to a wider audience of customers in the United States.
Rufus has been trained using Amazon’s extensive product database, customer feedback, community queries, and data sourced from various online platforms.
According to Amazon, users can seek advice from Rufus on product recommendations within specific categories and make informed decisions for particular occasions. Additionally, the assistant is capable of comparing different product options and offering suggestions.
