In light of the circumstances, Ai Weiwei expressed that the choice to proceed with the exhibition was made “to prevent further complications and for my own well-being.” He informed The Art Newspaper that his current exhibition has been “effectively” called off, emphasizing that this decision has been well-received.
Addressing a follower’s inquiry on X (previously Twitter) in a now-deleted tweet, Ai Weiwei remarked on the historical dynamics between the Jewish community and the Arab world, highlighting the significant influence of the Jewish society in the United States across financial, cultural, and media domains.
