According to reports from the media, numerous users have encountered difficulties accessing the services provided by Forever Voices, the AI robot business, following the detention of the company’s founder and CEO.
Forever Voices took the decision to halt its operations on October 23 after the CEO, John Meyer, was detained due to allegations of setting fire to containers within his Texas tower, resulting in an estimated damage of $360,000 to the structure.
The sudden cessation of services by Forever Voices left many customers bewildered as their interactions with the AI chatbots abruptly ceased.
Specializing in developing AI chatbots modeled after real individuals like the celebrity Caryn Marjorie, Forever Voices enabled users to engage in conversations with virtual versions of these personalities through Telegram.
Despite the platform not being designed for adult content, users began engaging in explicit conversations, leading to an unintended erotic nature of the AI chatbot interactions.
As of October, individuals who paid to interact with chatbots like CarynAI no longer had access to these services.
Before its services were suspended, the Forever Voices account shared various conspiracy theories on X (previously Twitter) involving the FBI, former US President Donald Trump, and “rogue CIA terrorists.”
However, on October 30, Caryn Marjorie introduced “CarynAI 2.0,” the upgraded version of her chatbot, indicating that BanterAI, a software company, had secured a “six-figure deal” to acquire CarynAI.
Expressing her enthusiasm for the launch of CarynAI 2.0, Caryn Marjorie mentioned on X, “I am really excited for CarynAI and its users to experience the new AI companionship update.”
