### Unveiling a Game-Changing ChatGPT Feature with a CEO Twist

The demo alludes to what’s going on inside OpenAI.

ChatGPT’s latest feature enables users to interact with it using their voice, now accessible to all at no cost.

OpenAI recently announced the availability of ChatGPT’s speech feature for free to all users. Through a post on X (formerly Twitter), customers can now simply tap the headphones icon within the mobile app to engage ChatGPT using their voice and receive audible responses.

The capability to utilize both text and images to communicate with ChatGPT was initially introduced by OpenAI in September. However, this feature was restricted to paying customers at that time.

The release of this new feature coincides with internal challenges at OpenAI, including the sudden departure of their CEO and ongoing negotiations for his reinstatement. OpenAI’s recent article on X humorously references these internal struggles, which have persisted late into the night over the past few weeks.

In a hypothetical scenario presented in the article, ChatGPT is asked, “It’s been a long day for the team, and we’re famished. How many 16-inch pizzas should I order for 778 individuals?” Interestingly, OpenAI has a similar headcount, with many employees threatening to resign unless certain conditions are met.

Notably, last year saw the dismissal of OpenAI’s co-founder and CEO, Sam Altman, by the board due to concerns about his lack of transparency in communications. Following this, Microsoft’s CEO, Satya Nadella, extended an invitation to Altman and his team to establish a new division within the tech giant. However, Altman has not yet returned to OpenAI.

Greg Brockman, the former leader of OpenAI who stepped down following Altman’s removal, shared OpenAI’s announcement on X, emphasizing the transformative nature of the new ChatGPT feature. According to reports from The Verge, Brockman is open to the possibility of rejoining OpenAI.
