### AI Girl Unavailable as Company Closes Post CEO’s Arson Arrest

CEO John Meyer was charged with arson and terroristic threats

Recently, a significant number of individuals encountered the phenomenon of being ignored by their virtual girlfriends.

As reported by News Nation, Forever Voices, an AI company, transitioned to an online platform on October 23 subsequent to the arrest of the firm’s chairman and CEO. The company had earlier introduced a range of AI-powered “virtual companion” chatbots via Telegram earlier in the year.

According to local news outlet KXAN, John Meyer, the CEO of Forever Voices, was apprehended in October for allegedly setting ablaze boxes on the balcony of his upscale residence in Austin, Texas. Legal documents indicate that he faced charges of arson and making terroristic threats, with a bond set at $120,000.

Prior to the closure of the service and Meyer’s detention, the Forever Voices account disseminated various outlandish conspiracy theories on X (formerly Twitter) involving the FBI, ex-President Donald Trump, and “rogue CIA terrorists.”

Through seemingly AI-driven systems, the company provided users with the opportunity to engage in “conversations” with a range of celebrities and adult stars on Telegram. Notably, one popular account was associated with Caryn Marjorie, a 23-year-old Snapchat influencer, who charged followers $1 per minute to interact with her chatbot.

Subsequent to Meyer’s arrest in October, users have been unable to access CarynAI or the other chatbots offered by the company, as reported by the tech publication 404Media.

The unveiling of Forever Voices’ AI chatbots, marketed as a solution for “fulfilling” fans and alleviating loneliness, garnered significant attention. Despite being restricted to users aged 18 and above, the service faced criticism when users engaged in explicit interactions with the chatbots. Marjorie asserted in June that the bots were not designed for such purposes.

Marjorie hinted at a potential transition to BanterAI by October 30.

The future of Forever Voices’ operations remains uncertain.
